November 15, 2017, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin will hold the Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization ministers who are responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities
It will gather ministers from SCO countries such as India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. It will be for the first time that representatives of India and Pakistan will participate in the event as the SCO full-fledged members. In addition, representatives of SCO observer states will be also engaged in the economic agenda formation.
The Meeting participants will consider prospects for deepening SCO trade, economic and investment cooperation and issues related to implementation of the SCO multilateral trade and economic cooperation program and progress of relationships in the realm of small and medium-sized businesses. It is planned to consider India and Pakistan involvement into practical joint activities on the SCO economic track,
and to discuss the issue of supporting the multilateral trading system in the run-up to the 11th WTO Ministerial Conference to be hold in December 2017.
The event is to involve protocol filming.
A press briefing is planned to be made based on the Meeting outcomes.
