Alexander Tsybulskiy: The SCO Regions’ Governors Club will Become an Informal Platform of Searching for New Trends of Transregional Cooperation
On October 28, 2015 Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexander Tsybulskiy took part in the 26th Meeting of the Board of the Russia’s Federal Subjects Heads under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The main question of the agenda was the development of transregional cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The participants marked a growing intensity of contacts between the SCO regions and discussed transregional cooperation development prospect within the SCO.
The participants discussed also an opportunity of creation a separate independent structure within the SCO that can allow local authorities and local business to organize direct communication.
“We need to explore the question of organization some kind of “the SCO Regions’ Governors Club” that will become an informal platform for communication, searching for new solutions and new directions of transregional cooperation,” Alexander Tsybulskiy said in his speech.
The participants of the meeting supported the idea of Deputy Minister of Economic Development and decided to include his offer into the summary recommendations of the 26th Meeting of the Board of the Russia’s Federal Subjects Heads.
