Alexey Ulyukaev: The offers for implementation of the agreement about association with Ukraine presented by the European Union do not satisfy Russia.
On October 6, 2015 in Istanbul (Turkey) the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Ulyukaev held negotiations with the European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström within the summit of Ministers of Trade of G20.
During the meeting the offers of the European Union which were submitted concerning removal of the Russian concerns in connection with association of Ukraine with the EU were discussed.
“But they don't satisfy the Russian Party”, - the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Ulyukaev declared.
According to him, tomorrow in Brussels the meeting of experts of the three Parties - Russian Federation-Ukraine-ES will take place.
“Last time during Ministers’ meeting in Brussels we agreed that our colleagues would offer their alternative of the project that we had prepared in June and that allows, in our opinion, to calm down our anxiety and mitigate the risks,”the Minister noted . “They have sent the project that does not satisfy us.”
“We discussed with Ms. Malmström the ways our experts can work together as actively as possible,” the Minister added.
According to him, this document was received only yesterday. “It was prepared for the experts’ meeting that will be held tomorrow but we wanted to discuss this problem during today’s meeting for the experts to have a mandate for their further work,” Alexey Ulyukaev said.
