Bavarian Companies Are Not Going to Leave Russian Market
The First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Likhachev met the delegation of the Federal State of Bavaria led by Deputy Minister-President of Bavaria, Minister for Economic Affairs, Media, Energy and Technology of Bavaria Ilse Aigner.
During the negotiations the parties discussed trade and economic relations between Russia and Germany. “Germany is Partner Number 1 for us and Bavaria being an economic locomotive of the Federal Republic of Germany plays a leading role in our cooperation,” said Alexey Likhachev.
Among 16 federal states of Germany Bavaria comes first in trade with Russia: commodity turnover in January-September of 2015 was 6.2 billion euro, Russian export into this region exceeds 4.3 billion euro, import – 1.9 billion euro.
There are about 1 500 Bavarian companies working in Russia with the investments into Russian economy of 3.2 billion euro.
Ilse Aigner noted that despite difficult external economic conditions German and in particular Bavarian companies were not going to leave Russian market.
Following the results of the meeting Alexey Likhachev offered German colleagues to take an active part in Russian-German business platform which next session will be held in Berlin in the 1st quarter of 2016.
