Alexander Tsybulskiy: SOPS will take part in development of Strategy of development of the Arctic zone of Russia and ensuring of national security till 2025

"SOPS always was on an edge of the most essential transformations in the country. Success of its work consists in preservation of traditions and continuity", – the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexander Tsybulskiy said, congratulating employees of Council for the Study of Productive Forces (SOPS) with the 100 anniversary of the organization.

He emphasized that Council successfully conducts scientific researches in the field of territorial social and economic development of the country, its large resources and territorial subjects of the Russian Federation, and also of complex research of natural resources and problems of the World Ocean.

According to Alexander Tsybulsky involvement of Council to collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development in creation of Strategy of development of the Arctic zone of Russia and ensuring national security till 2025 is planned. Strategy of development of the Arctic zone of Russia and ensuring national security till 2020 was approved by the Russian President Vladimir Putin in February, 2013.

The priority directions of development of the Arctic zone are: complex social and economic development of the region, development of science and technologies, creation of modern information and telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring of ecological safety, the international cooperation in the Arctic, ensuring of military safety, guard and protection of frontier of the Russian Federation in the Arctic.

"SOPS collective fully has scientific knowledge and experience which will allow to provide realization of the tasks set for our Ministry", - Alexander Tsybulskiy added.

Especially as creation of SOPS in 1915 fixed a priority of Russia in scientific approach to spatial development of the state.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development congratulated SOPS collective on century from the date of foundation and handed awards to the outstanding staff of the Council.
