The federal state information system for territorial planning will identify the inconsistencies in documents of different levels

The Ministry of Economic Development hosted the first panel session of the Inter-agency Task Force for the improvement and future development of the federal state information system for territorial planning. The information system in question has been developed in accordance with Order No 672 of the Ministry of Economic Development, dated September 24, 2015.

The event was attended by the representatives of the interested federal executive bodies and members of the expert community.

One of the key assignments for the task force in question consists in the development of suggestions for the development and operation of the Federal State Information System for Territorial Planning (FSIS TP).

The panel session participants discussed the progress in the development of the FSIS TP in line with the state contract performed by the federal state autonomous R&D establishment “Center for Information Technologies and Systems of Government Agencies”.

The program is intended to provide information support for decision-making pertaining to territorial development planning at all levels of management of the Russian Federation (federal, regional and municipal) and to facilitate comprehensive assessment of quality of projects and territorial planning documents available. Besides, the program is also intended to identify the presence/absence of inconsistencies in the information contained in territorial planning documents of different levels and the compliance of text and cartographic parts of said documents and to improve the requirements for the electronic format and the structure of the information used for the preparation of the territorial planning documents, different levels planning and the compliance of the text and cartographic parts of said documents.

The representatives of the Center for Information Technologies and Systems of Government Agencies demonstrated the intermediate results of the work performed pursuant to the state contract. The results were assessed by the members of the Inter-agency task force.
