Russia and China have defined the EXPO procedure
On December 17, 2015 the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Likhachev, during his visit to Beijing in the Russian delegation led by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China, the People's Government of Heilongjiang province of People's Republic of China on the issues of preparation and holding of the Russian-Chinese EXPO.
On the Russian side the document was signed by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, and, on the Chinese side, the document was signed by the Commerce Minister of China Hucheng and Deputy Governor of the People's Heilongjiang province Sun Yao.
The Memorandum was prepared in pursuance of turning the Russian-Chinese EXPO in the leading Russian-Chinese congress and exhibition platform based on the successful experience of the first two exhibitions, which demonstrated great interest in the event from the business circles of the two countries, improving the mechanism of interaction in the framework of preparation and holding of the event.
The document defines the procedure of holding Russian-Chinese EXPO – the frequency, time and duration of the event, as well as the procedure for the formation of the business program and participation of companies in the event. In addition, it determines the procedure of the EXPO Organizing Committee meeting.
The Memorandum applies from the date of its signing.
