Russian Enterprises of Consumer Goods Industry Explore Italian Equipment Market

A visit of Russian producers of textile and clothes to the international exhibition ITMA 2015 took place in Milan with support of the Russian Trade Mission in Italy and the Ministry for Industry and Trade.

Representatives of more than 20 Russian companies as well as industry associations and unions joint the delegation. Among them, there were BTC, “Kamyshinsky Textile”, group of companies “Chaykovsky Textile”, TDL “Textile”, “Dargez”, “Shuyskie Sitsy”.
A round table took place within the frames of the exhibition where state programs for support of Russian enterprises of textile and consumer goods industry as well as prospects of development and terms of industry modernization were introduced to Russian companies and their potential foreign partners.

Russian companies can use a wide range of state supportive measures, in particular customs duties’ exemption for imported equipment that is not produced on the Russian Federation territory, and funding of credits on technical upgrade. Since 2016, concessional leasing for the equipment financed by the Industry Development Fund is supposed to be implemented.
A representative of the Trade Mission noted that ITMA in Milan was a hot issue because an equipment deterioration in the area of consumer goods industry amounts to around 50%, and around 90% of machines was imported to Russia from abroad. “More than 200 enterprises of the industry need modernization which will be carried out thanks to specialized programs developed by the Government. We suppose that representatives of the Russian delegation on the exhibition will be able to find new partners for equipment supplies and development of their production facilities,” he told.

The ITMA exhibition is held quadrennially and gathers the largest producers of the equipment for consumer goods industry. 1691 producers from 46 countries of the world took part in it in 2015. The supervisor and the owner of the ITMA is CEMATEX, the European Committee of Textile Equipment Producers consisting of 9 countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Great Britain, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden).
