Azer Talybov: “We intend to expand the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises to the level of the countries with the most developed economy in the next few years”
Azer Talybov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, participated in the III China-Russia Business Forum of Small and Medium Businesses 2017 “Large Opportunities for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses” which was held in Guangzhou (PRC).
Traditionally, the Forum's events are aimed at discussing relevant priorities related to the development and stimulation of trade and economic relations between Russia and China at the level of small and medium-sized businesses, including attraction of investment, establishment of joint ventures, subcontracting, export and import cooperation, cooperation in the field of science and technology transfer.
"Today, more than 6 million small and medium-sized enterprises, which ensure the employment being equal to 25% of the population and form about 21% of the country's GDP, are located in the Russian Federation, and we are intended to expand the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises to the level of the countries with the most developed economy in the next few years,” – Azer Talybov said, while addressing the participants of the Forum’s plenary session.
Even nowadays small and medium-sized enterprises have maximum opportunities for the favorable development of their activities and the effective growth of business through the participation in the global supply chains and the interaction with the major international companies operating both in Russia and abroad. Opportunities for the development of activities in the field of import substitution stimulate the business to increase its own competitiveness and introduce innovative technology and solutions.
That is why the People's Republic of China acting as the priority and strategic partner of the Russian Federation, is an ideal platform designed for the acquisition of the relevant international experience and access to the international markets by small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Forum was dedicated to the XIV China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair.
