Maksim Oreshkin: “It is necessary to remove all the barriers impeding the development of trade within the Eurasian Economic Community”
On November 14, 2017, Maksim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Timur Suleimenov, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It was dedicated to the economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to the prospects and challenges associated with the Eurasian integration. In 2018, Russia will become the Chairman of the Board of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The Ministers mentioned the focus on comprehensive work, including the removal of all barriers impeding the development of trade.
Timur Suleimenov spoke about the upcoming Digital Economy Forum in Astana, which would take place in February 2018, to be participated by the representatives of the Eurasian Economic Community member states. Maksim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, confirmed the interest in holding and participating in the event.
