Russian Ministry of Economic Development To Provide Advisory Support to Businesses at the 3d SBI Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions

Russian Ministry of Economic Development has initiated forging of business advisory sites within the 3d SBI Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions. During the Forum, all participants will be able to receive advice from representatives of the Ministry's SMB support infrastructure including experts from industrial parks, guarantee and micro finance institutions, as well as export, cluster development, engineering, prototyping, standardization, certification and testing support centers.

Today, SMB support infrastructure mastered by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development covers around 800 facilities across different regions in the country. including 82 guarantee and 83 micro finance institutions, 42 business support centers, 54 coordination centers for  export oriented SMB support, 141 business incubators, 25 industrial and technology parks, and 104 organizations supporting innovation and manufacturing SMBs. All infrastructure facilities were created within the framework of the Small and Medium Business Support Program that has been implemented by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia since 2005.

"One of the key obstacles of a small business is their ignorance of municipal, regional, federal support measures they are entitled to. In addition, they do not always know where to turn and with what issues. That is why we have initiated forging of business advisory sites within the 3d SBI Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions. Russian Ministry of Economic Development will delegate the most competent representatives of the SMB support infrastructure from different regions. They will give advice on specific issues to all interested businessmen, in dedicated exhibition stands," said Oleg Fomichev, State Secretary and Russian Deputy Minister.

The individual approach is the key advantage of the advising. Experts will consider the situation of each businessman seeking for advice and offer the best solution.

"SMB representatives tend to have specific challenges that hinder business growth and they are able to clearly formulate their request. The more specific the question, the more effective the help will be. We are also continuously upgrading expertise of the specialists who are engaged on the sites, in particular, offering them a range of special workshops. Thanks to this, their advisory services are becoming better and whatever questions are asked by businessmen, they will receive detailed analysis and comprehensive information on all occasions," stressed Fomichev.

Tthe 3d SBI Forum of the SCO and BRICS Regions will be hosted in Ufa, September 28-29, 2017. More than 1,300 delegates from over 20 regions of Russia and foreign countries, including from India, China, Brazil, South Africa, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, are expected to take part in the Forum events within two days. The Forum will also host consulting sites of other public business support institutions and business associations and Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will launch the Businessman Profile exhibition.
