A. Levitskaya, the Deputy Minister, held the10th meeting of the Russian - German Management Committee of the Presidential Program for management personnel training for the Russian economy
The 10th Anniversary session of the Russian-German Management Committee of the Presidential Program for management personnel training for national economy of Russia was held on September 30, 2010 in Kazan.
The main theme of the meeting was to discuss cooperation between Russia and Germany in order to implement the President's Management Personnel Training Program in 2009-2010 as well as the priorities of this cooperation for the medium term.
New areas of mutual cooperation that were discussed by the sides include the following: implementation of an internship training with a degree in Management in the Sphere of Innovation and creation of a favorable investment climate in promising sectors of the economy such as information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals, energy, aerospace and the nuclear industry.
In her speech, A. Levitskaya noted the Program’s substantial contribution to the cooperation between Russia and Germany and she stressed that "those experts who were trained in the program and received training at facilities in Germany, have been further developing economic ties between the two countries."
In the course of the Program’s cooperation more than 4200 experts have attended training in the framework of a mutual exchange of specialists, including 238 in 2010 so far. In turn, 161 managers from Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt, Hanover and Hamburg) were training at Russian enterprises, including 30 managers in Kazan. Until the end of this year training for German specialists is being planned to be held in the cities of Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul and Kemerovo, St. Petersburg and Samara.
The meeting of the Management Committee was attended by the following: R. Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan; K.-E. Brauner, the Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Policy of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of Germany; A. Soroko, the Deputy Director of the Administrative Department of the Government of the Russian Federation; G. Makhakova, the director of the Department of Economic of Social Development and Priority Programs; M. Kotyukov, the Director of the Department of Fiscal Policy in the Social Sphere and Science of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
At present, cooperation between Russia and Germany is going on a based on a memorandum signed between the governments of Russia and Germany on management training for the national economy of the two countries on 15 July, 2010 in Yekaterinburg, in the 12th round of Russian-German inter-government talks. The first agreement of this kind was signed in the framework of the Russian-German summit in June 9, 1998 in Bonn.
