Andrey Belousov is appointed Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation by Executive Order of the President Vladimir Putin

Andrey Removich Belousov was born in 1959.

He graduated from the M. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Economics Department, in 1981.

He holds a Ph.D. degree (in Economics)

1981/1986:  intern researcher, junior research associate, Laboratory of Modeling Human/Machine Systems, Central Economic and Mathematic Institute, USSR Academy of Sciences

1986/2006: different positions in the Institute for Science and Technical Progress Economics and Forecasting, USSR Academy of Science; Institute for National Economy Forecasts, Russian Academy of Science.

2000/2006: General Manager, Center for Macro-Economic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting

Since 2000:  independent advisor to the Russian Premier

2006/2008: Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation; Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

2008/2012: Director, Department for Economics and Finance, Russian Government.

Since May 2012: Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation
