The fifth meeting of the Working group on trade and investments of the Intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Poland was held on 5 October 2011 in Warsaw (Republic of Poland)
The Russian delegation included representatives of the Ministry of economic development, Ministry of regional development, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Trade representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Poland, Chamber of Commerce, representatives of regional authorities and also interested institution, enterprises and organizations.
The Poland delegation included representatives of the Ministry of economy, Ministry of finance, Ministry of agriculture and village, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Russian Federation, Polish information and investment agency, Chamber of Commerce, the Technical supervision department and interested institution, enterprises and organizations.
The state of trade and economic cooperation, prospects of bipartite cooperation in 2011, cooperation in the banking and financial sector, regional economic development, cooperation in small-scale and medium-sized business between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Poland were discussed during the session of the Working group.
During the session of the Working group presentations of the regions of the Russian Federation were made and also the list of regional investment projects was passed to the Polish side in order to enhance economic cooperation between regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Poland. Representatives of Bryansk, Kaliningrad and Pskov regions held the presentation of the investment potential of region including social-economic indicators of regions economic zones, proposals for participation in investment projects.
