Result of round table devoted to promoting export of russian goods and services through UN system (August 26, 2013)
The round table devoted to opportunities of Russian companies participating in UN system procurement was held in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation under the chairmanship of Vladimir Tkachenko, head of the Department of International Organizations. Oleg Preksin, RSPP Executive Vice-President, Managing Director for International Cooperation, welcomed the participants with his salutary address.
Dmitriy Dovgopoliy, Head of UN Secretariat Procurement Department, spoke of UN procurement system described in his presentation report. His presentation highlighted UN procurement system in different world regions, kinds of purchased goods and services, as well as supplier registration and obtaining supplier status. D. Dovgopoliy emphasized lines of UN procurement that were promising for Russian suppliers.
During the round table, Anton Stepanov, Delovaya Rossiya's Export Committee Deputy Chairman, shares his opinion of potential of Russian enterprises in developing non-raw materials’ export. Thus, the expert told of possible export support measures, existing export agencies in Russia and abroad, special unit of Delovaya Rossiya – Delovaya Rossiya's Export Committee, common issues companies face when entering external markets.
Round table participants have also examined the presentation developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and dealing with e-business management in the area of federal and municipal orders in the Russian Federation.
The event hosted representatives of 70 companies, including OAO UTair Airlines, Joint-Stock Company “Almaz – Antey”, Sistema JSFC, OAO UAZ, OAO AvtoVAZ, Sovcomflot, OAO Tatneft, Volga-Dnepr Air Company, OAO Russian Helicopters; Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Delovaya Rossiya Russian NGO; state authorities, such as MFA of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Transportation of Russia.
