The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexey Ulyukaev will meet with representatives of business circles of France in Paris on November 18


MEDEF is the association of employers and entrepreneurs of France, which includes about 750 000 people and more than 600 industry associations and enterprises. The Association has 155 offices in the regions of the country bringing together the leaders of industrial and trade companies, banks, insurance companies, travel agencies and other businesses. MEDEF also acts as representative of the interests of business owners in negotiations with the government and the trade unions. MEDEF takes part in the work of international organizations, promotes the necessary information to entrepreneurs, and provides them with the necessary assistance in the issues of production, recruitment.

In the format of a business breakfast the participants will exchange views on the development of the world economy, the rates of economic growth in the two countries, as well as the conditions of the business environment in Russia and France.

Furthermore, the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexey Ulyukaev will meet the Secretary-General of the OECD Angel Gurria and the permanent representatives of the member countries of the OECD. It is assumed that it will be on the progress of Russia's accession to the OECD, the possible directions of cooperation RFTA-OECD and issues of corporate governance in Russia.

Alexey Ulyukaev will also take part in a conference organized by the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) with the participation of HEC (academic audience.

IFRI is the largest scientific research organization in the field of politics and economics in France. The institute was established in 1979, and it is primarily focused on the prediction of the development of political and economic situation in the world and individual countries. In particular, IFRI published about 10 researches devoted to Russia. In 2011, the institute has conducted over 130 different conferences, including conferences with the participation of the heads of several states.

Scientists, economists, political analysts, students and teachers of the Higher School of Economics (HEC), Paris Dauphine University, Paritech University and other universities (about 100 people) will talk with the Minister of Economic Development of Russia in the format of question and answers about the prospects of the economic situation in our country.
