Russia plans to complete the expert work on accession to the OECD before the end of 2014
Federal executive authorities of the Russian Federation should intensify the cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for joining the organization and completion of related expert work until the end of 2014 according to the decision of the Presidium of the Government of the Russian Federation published on the website of the Government.
According to the decision the progress of negotiations on Russia's accession to the OECD will be supervised by the First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov. «First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov should organize a consideration of the progress of negotiations on Russia's accession to the OECD and if necessary ensure preparing relevant materials for discussion at a meeting with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev», - says the document.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation should ensure the function of coordinator of negotiation process on accession. Relevant normative draft acts must be submitted to the Government in February of 2014.
In addition, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is requested to submit a proposal on forming National Contact Point of the OECD in the Russian Federation in the structure of the Ministry.
